There was a “Star Wars” documentary on the History Channel the other night.

It was about philosophy and myths and how they affected George Lucas. Good stuff. It got me to thinking about the craptacular Return of the Jedi. That movie taught me a few things, though. So here we go.

Things I Learned from Return of the Jedi

1. Comic relief doesn’t need to be funny (See: Jabba’s muppet sidekick, C3P0, Ewoks, Han Solo’s dialogue).

2. The best way out of a romantic triangle is to suddenly decide that two of the three people are now related.

3. Being defrosted from Carbonite adds twenty pounds.
