Fuzzy math
I rewatched The Dark Knight last week and noticed a little problem. After Harvey Dent falls to his death, Commissioner Gordon says, “Five dead. Including two cops.” Dent killed Wuertz (the white haired cop), Maroni’s driver, and Maroni, presumably. That’s three. He did not kill Ramirez, the female cop. That’s only because she won the coin toss. If Gordon is including...

“The Visitor” may be the single best episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine ever. And it’s one of the best episodes of any Trek series.
Am I right?
I may be biased, as I just re-watched it for the first time since it aired back in 1995. Also, my father was still alive back then.
Just auditioned for an gig via Skype. I wasn't...
Getting paying acting work is gonna be easier than I thought.

Meet Joe Black was on Cinemax earlier today. Of course I watched the whole fucking thing.
Originally sat through it at the theater (Ziegfeld). But that was only to see the Phantom Menace teaser trailer, which was shown before AND after the feature.
I quite like the movie, actually. Although Claire Forlani spends the first two thirds of the movie looking as if she’s going to cry. Then...

And I’m not sending any money to Save Our Gulf. This is BP’s problem to solve.

Some former cast members of Lost (and the major recurring players as well) are listed in the opening credits as regulars, not as guest stars. That’s a nice tribute to the actors. Well done, Damon and Carlton.

Let's hope Megan Fox will now go away.
Tonight’s episode of Fringe was a lot like “Unification, Part 1.” Leonard Nimoy gets special billing but doesn’t appear until the very end.
It was great, though.
I love you, Sarah Walker.

So a lot of female former cast members have to returned to Saturday Night Live tonight. That’s cool.
But the real question is - Does Betty Fucking White really need backup?

Emily Blunt would have kicked serious ass had she...
But we got Scarlett Johansson instead. And she’s, really… well, she’s got big boobs. Can you imagine a Black Widow spinoff film? No, you can’t. Justin Hammer, on the other hand. That would be awesome.
There’s a version of 12 Angry Men on Showtime right now. It’s from 1997. Here’s who’s in the cast - George C. Scott, Jack Lemmon, Ossie Davis, Hume Cronyn, Armin Mueller-Stahl, James Gandolfini, Edward James Olmos, William Peterson and … Tony Danza.
Now I’m angry.

Everybody Hates Frasier
So I went to the “La Cage Aux Folles” opening night party on Sunday. There was a disappointing lack of drag queens. Four or five, maybe? Plenty of gays, though. It was fun. I was not at all surprised to hear that Kelsey Grammer is a complete prick. Everyone involved with the show hates him. He’s a total pain in the ass. But then, even some of the ensemble members are...
My poor cat is trying to lick his balls, but he no longer has them. And to add insult to injury, he now has to wear a cone around his neck for a week. But he paid me back by shitting or vomiting (or both) just outside his litter box.
Little bastard.

There was a commercial during last night’s Lost for some Tom Cruise movie called Knight and Day. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a movie more.
So I guess he’s going to start appearing on talk shows again, saying how much he loves his “wife” and that he does ALL his own stunts.
FAIL.

Here’s hoping the producers of Chuck can get an increased budget for next season (if there is one). It’d be good to see the entire cast in each episode. Right now, Morgan is being sent away on so many management seminars that it’s distracting.
You would think his leadership skills would called into question by this point.

Scene from "Go" (1999)
CLAIRE: So what do you have against the Family Circus?
TODD: OK … you sit down to read your paper, and you’re enjoying your entire two-page comic spread, right? Then there’s the Family fucking Circus, bottom right-hand corner, just waiting to suck, and that’s the last thing you read, so … it spoils everything you read before.
CLAIRE: You could just not read it.

David Goyer to write "The Man of Steel" →
This film will be based in part on John Byrne’s fantastic 1986 reboot of the Superman comics. That six part series was also called “The Man of Steel.” Looks like the previous film will be ignored. I do think Brandon Routh should get another shot at playing Superman. He was the best thing about Superman Returns.

The 'Lost' lowdown: Part 1 of a long interview... →
Maureen Ryan from the Chicago Tribune interviewed Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof (Lost writers/producers) back in December. It’s a great read. Very long, too. The interview is in three parts.

Community is such a big hit that Chevy Chase has recently announced that he will be leaving the show at the the end of the season to pursue a film career. He plans to make occasional appearances in the second season. Bill Murray is being strongly considered as his replacement.

Robert B. Parker, the Prolific Writer Who Created... →
Robert B. Parker was my favorite author. I discovered his books around 1988. There were 15 Spenser novels at that point. I devoured them all that summer and became a lifelong fan. I bought the subsequent releases in hardcover, starting with “Playmates” in 1989. Three of five of my bookshelves are filled with Robert B. Parker novels. His writing has been a huge part of my life.
